Pair of 19th century tall , baluster shaped Chinese Famille Rose vases of the Qing Dynasty, newly converted to lamps .
They are enamelled in delightful colours of green, rose and sepia and depict two graceful ladies and a boy in a gated garden of peach and peony trees . ( the peach tree symbolises spring and a long and healthy life in Chinese culture to those who eat the fruit )
Unusually each facet of the vases depicts a different scene and they can be displayed in a variety of highly decorative combinations
