Kidney shape George III freestanding table , retaining the original black leather top of the Sheraton Period in mahogany with a crossbanded top and with four rectangular paterae in rosewood , having one drawer with original brass handles , standing on supremely elegant square tapered legs ending on spade feet . C1790

Designed possibly as a writing / library / dressing table. and can now be used as a small sofa table, an unusual and most interesting piece.
